BEFORE THERE WAS A WEALTH GAP

THERE WERE CRIME SCENES

About the Project

THE INVOICE is a non-fiction film that approaches American racial injustice as the longest-running heist in U.S. history: a coordinated transfer of wealth, sanctioned by the federal government.

In 80 minutes, THE INVOICE traces the criminal paper trail—from slavery to segregation to today’s discriminatory algorithms—revealing how federal policies enabled the plunder of Black labor, land, wages, and opportunities while enriching white citizens and institutions.

THE INVOICE positions reparations not as charity, but as restitution—payment of a long-overdue bill. And an opportunity to redeem America's soul.
